Shipping & returns
It is the customer’s responsibility to be in compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws regarding the purchase and ownership of firearms. Double Dog Depot Inc. follows all Federal, State and Local laws concerning the sale and transfer of all firearms.
Customers are required to set up an account to purchase from Double Dog Depot Inc. During this process you must agree to the following statements:
- I UNDERSTAND I MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO PURCHASE HANDGUNS/ AMMUNITION AND 18 YEARS OF AGE TO PURCHASE LONG GUNS AND I AM NOT PROHIBITED BY FEDERAL, STATE OR LOCAL LAW FROM RECEIVING FIREARMS OR AMMUNITION
- I UNDERSTAND IT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO COMPLY WITH ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS REGARDING FIREARM TRANSFER/OWNERSHIP AND THE POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION
- I UNDERSTAND THAT THE FIREARM(S) I HAVE PURCHASED WILL BE SHIPPED TO A LOCAL FFL TRANSFER DEALER AND MUST BE PICKED UP BY THE PURCHASER WITH VALID IDENTIFICATION
(FOR SHIPMENTS WITHIN THE 48 CONTINENTAL STATES)
Customers will be charged $5.00 for the adult signature charge if the order includes a firearm.
Orders containing less than $500 in merchandise will be charged the following rates:
FedEx Ground® – $7.50Exceptions:
FedEx Express Saver® – $13.00
FedEx 2Day® – $15.00
FedEx Standard Overnight® – $25.00
FedEx Priority Overnight® – $35.00
US Postal Service* – $12.00
All products classified as Limited Quantity including cleaning solvents, CO2 cartridges, non-lethal defense sprays and ammunition must be shipped FedEx Ground® or FedEx Freight®.
Alaska and Hawaii:
Orders to Alaska and Hawaii will be shipped FedEx 2Day®. Shippable orders of $2,500 or more qualify for free freight. Customers will be charged $5.00 for the Adult Signature fee, if the order includes a firearm. Orders less than $2,500 will be charged Double Dog Depot's actual freight charges and the $5.00 Adult Signature Required fee, if the order includes a firearm. If the customer opts to ship via FedEx Standard Overnight® the customer will be charged Double Dog Depot's actual freight charges. The customer will also be charged the $5.00 Adult Signature Required charge, if the order includes a firearm.
Puerto Rico:
Double Dog Depot will pay freight on shippable orders of $1,500 or more when shipped via FedEx. The customer will only be charged the $5.00 FedEx signature charge. Orders less than $1,500 will be charged discounted freight charges and the $5.00 FedEx signature charge.
Guam and Virgin Islands:
Orders being shipped to Guam and the Virgin Islands will be shipped via USPS. The customer will be charged Double Dog Depot's actual freight charges for all orders. The customer will also be charged the $3.45 USPS signature charge for non-firearm orders or the $8.50 adult signature charge for orders containing firearms.
PRICES
PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT ANY TIME. Due to changing legislation or items with limited availability prices can change at any time. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order for any reason including errors in product or pricing information.
RETURNS
No returns will be accepted without prior authorization. All return goods will be subject to a 15% restocking charge. Returns must be authorized within 3 days of receipt/inspection. Return shipment must have an issued RA# on outside of container, return shipping is not refundable. NOTE: Due to Department of Transportation regulations, we cannot accept returns on ammunition.
DAMAGES
Claims of shortages or damaged shipments must be made with the carrier immediately for proper claim handling. Our responsibility ceases when delivery is made to the carrier in good order.
DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE
We are not a warranty repair station for any manufacturer. We stand behind all of our products, upon delivery, to be free of defects. Firearms must be inspected prior to the transfer insuring the correct item was received in satisfactory condition. After the transfer is complete all defects and warranty issues must be addressed by the manufacturer. We offer a 3-Day Inspection on all accessory products. In the unlikely event you receive a defective accessory item we will replace that accessory item at no charge to you except the shipping it costs to return said item. Returns of defective accessory merchandise past the 3-Day Inspection period must be made directly to the manufacturer for repair or replacement.
PRODUCT RESTRICTIONS
Firearms shipped from the factory with magazines that are restricted for a specific state/municipality can be purchased with the restricted magazines removed where legal. Double Dog Depot Inc. will not substitute the magazines removed or discount the transaction in any way. This includes any Promoted or Free offers where the inclusion of the Promoted or Free offer would violate the state/municipality restriction. No substitutes will be made.
Firearms – Washington D.C.
Handguns – We do not ship handguns to the following: Washington D.C., California, Maryland, Massachusetts and New York State
Semi-Auto Rifles/AR Uppers and Kits – We do not ship semi-auto rifles, AR upper assemblies or AR kits to the following: Aurora, IL., California, Connecticut, Cook County, IL., Highland Park, IL., Maryland (Centerfire), Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York State
Semi-Auto Rifle Parts – We do not ship parts for the AR15, AK47 or any variation of to the following: Aurora, IL., California, Connecticut, Cook County, IL., Highland Park, IL., New Jersey and New York State
Black Powder Firearms – Black Powder/Muzzleloading firearms must ship to an FFL for the following: Illinois, Massachusetts and New Jersey
Defense/Clip Fed Shotguns – We do not ship defense/clip fed shotguns to the following: California and Massachusetts
Ammunition - We do not ship ammunition to the following: California, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York State, or Washington D.C.
Magazines – We do not ship magazines (regardless of capacity) to Connecticut.
Magazines Over 10rds – We do not ship magazines that accept over 10rds. to the following: California, Cook County, IL., Highland Park, IL., Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York State, Vermont (Rifle) and Washington D.C.
Magazines Over 15rds – We do not ship magazines that accept over 15rds. to the following: Aurora, IL., Colorado, Vermont (Handgun).
Hawaii – No pistol magazines over 10rds.
Magazine Rebuild Kits – We do not ship magazine rebuild kits to the following: California, Connecticut, Chicago, IL., Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York State and Washington D.C.
M-16 Bolts – We do not ship M-16 Bolts to the following: California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Washington D.C.
.50 BMG - We do not ship .50 BMG firearms to the following: California
