Double Dog Depot® was the brainchild of Paul & Alexander Kolanek after Alex suggested applying Pauls FFL to Alexander's previous brainchild and proof of concept South Paw Draw®
Based in the heart of the Prairie Couteau in North Dakota we are able to step out into the heart of the hunting land some only dream of visiting every morning. With hearts for conservation, hunting, fishing, and the outdoors in general we bring you this website with the intention of making the tools you need to enjoy the outdoors to the fullest easily available to you.


Paul Kolanek - President


Born in Bay City Michigan, our President, Paul Kolanek is legendary in his own right. Growing up hunting on and around The Saginaw Bay of Michigan his love for the outdoors was solidified early.

An accomplished marksman with records most younger generations would have a hard time even conceving of making tangible, Paul's hobbies gravitated toward his natural gifts. 

Similarly working at General Motors Grey Iorn foundary to pay his way through Lawrance Technological Institue, Paul's early work experience gravitated him toward his career as an Industrial Engineer.

You will be hard pressed to live a life where you have not laid your eyes on, touched, or had your life effected by Paul's engineering contributions to this world. IYKYK

Alexander Kolanek - Vice President

Born in Pontiac Michigan, our Vice President, Alexander Kolanek being the son of Paul was naturally involved with all things outdoors from his inception. His first job being at a gun club he quickly followed in Paul's footsteps toward a love for his natural gifts in shooting sports.

Being homeschooled through High School opened the opportunity to spend months a year hunting alongside engineers every day and doing homework at night. It also opened the doors to being hopelessly addicted to wingshooting.

Working as a valet stand manager post highschool regularly having $5-25million in vehicles in his ultimate custody seared a love for automovie to his soul. As a product of Detroit Alexander has a spirit that naturally gravitates toward the spirit of freedom and the fearless determination through hardship Detroit builds into all of its Alumni.

This ultimately led him into creating retail websites that bring the items and tools that are part of many outdoor related activities, regardless of social pressures, to you, our customers.
